Do you…….

  • feel a lack of control over your eating?
  • have a history of dieting and losing weight only to gain it back again?
  • feel disgusted, depressed, or guilty after eating?
  • eat until you feel uncomfortably full or sick?
  • eat when you’re stressed, sad, or bored?
  • eat a larger amount of food than most people?
  • eat alone or in secret because you are embarrassed about your eating?
  • need to make significant changes in your eating habits for health reasons?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions and would like to heal your relationship with food and your body, this 10 week group could help you.   In a recent study, the “Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating for Binge Eating” group, helped participants who struggled with binge eating go from severe binge eating to a non-binging level in just ten weeks.  This group is also very beneficial for individuals who want to break free from emotional eating patterns.   We will review and practice dialectical behavior therapy skills including mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness.   The focus will be on cultivating more self-awareness and self-compassion.  Sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Theresa Sharpe, a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience.

Dates:  Tuesdays,  6:30-8:00pm starting November 7th

Investment:   $355 includes 10 weekly group meetings, the “Am I Hungry for Binge Eating” book and workbook,  and access to the “Am I Hungry” on-line patient forum.
